Chapter 8 - THE SAVIORSammy didn't run. He walked toward the gunmen. He didn't have a weapon, but he had a voice. He began to hum a melody—the same one Elara used to hum to me.

The gunmen froze. They weren't strangers. They were the children of the men I had "killed." Elara had raised them, taught them, and guided them to this moment. They weren't here to kill me; they were here to judge me.
