Chapter 6 - THE FINAL PIECE OF THE PUZZLEWith a swift, crushing motion, Phantom stepped off Viktor's chest at a subtle hand gesture from Holden, leaving the treacherous uncle gasping and coughing on the floor like a broken machine. Sirens began wailing in the distance—not police sirens, but the automated alarm of the estate's self-destruct protocol, triggered by the system wipe.

"We have four minutes before the perimeter charges blow," Holden said, scooping Aria up into his arms. The little girl felt surprisingly light, but her grip around his neck was iron-solid.

"What about him?" Aria asked, nodding toward Viktor, who was desperately crawling toward the open vault.

"Let him have his tomb," Holden replied coldly.

They moved toward the subterranean escape tunnel hidden beneath the eastern courtyard, Phantom trotting faithfully at their heels, his black coat gleaming under the flickering emergency lights. As they slipped through the heavy steel bulkhead, Viktor managed to drag himself into the vault, frantically punching numbers into the master console to lock himself inside with the remaining gold.

Boom!

The heavy blast doors of the vault slammed shut automatically from the outside, sealing Viktor inside forever as the estate's primary explosives detonated, burying the old regime deep beneath tons of reinforced concrete and burning rubble.
