Chapter 6 - ONE YEAR LATERThe following Christmas Eve, Snowlight Bistro was packed to the doors with festive laughter, clinking crystal glasses, and the warm glow of holiday cheer.

At the private window table by the fireplace, a family of three sat together.

Elena wore a stunning emerald dress, her laughter mingling with the violin carols. Across from her, Theo sat proudly in a tailored suit, holding her hand beneath the white linen tablecloth.

And sitting between them in a brand-new red velvet dress was five-year-old Daisy, carefully frosting a gingerbread house with blue icing.

The antique clock above the bar ticked softly, marking the passage of time—not as a reminder of loneliness, but as a celebration of everything they had built together.

When the clock struck midnight, signaling Christmas Day, Theo raised his champagne glass, looking across the table at the woman who had transformed his world.

"Merry Christmas, my love," Theo murmured softly.

Elena touched her wedding ring, smiling back with a heart so full it felt ready to burst. "Merry Christmas, Daddy."

And as Daisy looked up from her gingerbread house and cheered for Santa, Elena knew that sometimes, the greatest blessings in life come disguised as rejection—because they lead you right home to where you were always meant to be.

The End.

(A story proving that true worth is never defined by someone else's inability to see your heart, but by the family that chooses you when the night is coldest.)
