Chapter 3 - THE VOICE THAT SHATTERED AN EMPIRE

The parking lot fell into a dead, suffocating silence. The inspectors stopped taking notes. Clara held her breath. The security guards stood frozen.

Olivia’s voice vibrated through the crisp morning air:

"He's in surgery, Hannah. He doesn't care about your high-risk pregnancy... Delete the voicemail, Olivia. Tell Sebastian she miscarried..."

As the audio played, Sebastian’s face transformed from confusion to sheer, unadulterated horror. The color completely drained from his lips. He slowly turned his head to face Olivia, who was trembling, her pristine mask cracking into pieces.

"That... that’s a fake!" Olivia stammered, backing away toward the Maybach. "It’s an AI generation! Sebastian, you know how advanced deepfake technology is! She fabricated it to destroy us!"

"Deepfake?" I sneered, pulling a thick stack of printed metadata logs from my briefcase and tossing them onto the hood of Sebastian’s car. "These are the server headers from Carter Global's internal network, dated September 22nd, five years ago. Sent from your IP address, Olivia. You deleted eleven phone calls from Mercy Hospital. You intercepted three certified letters containing ultrasound reports."

Sebastian picked up the papers. His hands were shaking so violently that the pages rustled in the wind.

"You..." Sebastian whispered, staring at Olivia with a look of terrifying fury. "You told me she walked away. You sat by my hospital bed after my car accident and swore to me that she packed her bags and took the money..."

"Sebastian, listen to me!" Olivia cried, trying to reach for him. "Your mother and I did it for you! She was a nobody! A distraction! She would have ruined your career before it even started!"

"GET AWAY FROM ME!" Sebastian roared, his voice echoing off the brick walls of the warehouse.

Olivia flinched, taking three steps back, tears finally ruining her perfect makeup.

Sebastian turned back to me, his eyes filled with overwhelming pain and regret. Step by step, he approached me, collapsing to his knees right on the asphalt in front of my employees and government agents.

"Hannah..." he choked out, looking up at me. "My God... my children. The triplets... they are mine. You bore my children alone..."

"Get up, Sebastian," I said, my voice cold and unyielding. "Don't perform for the crowd."

"I didn't know," he wept, clutching his face in his hands. "I swear on my life, Hannah, I never knew. I thought you abandoned me when I was in that coma..."

"You didn't know because you surrounded yourself with monsters," I replied, leaning down so only he could hear me. "But ignorance doesn't excuse the last five years. You let your mother control you. You let Olivia replace me. And today, your mother tried to destroy the business that feeds your children."

Sebastian stood up slowly, wiping his eyes, his demeanor suddenly shifting from broken husband to lethal corporate titan.

He turned to the government inspectors. "Who authorized this raid?"

Agent Vance stammered, intimidated by Sebastian’s sudden terrifying presence. "It... it was an urgent directive signed by Board Director Eleanor Carter, sir."

Sebastian pulled out his personal phone and dialed a number on speaker.

"Legal team," Sebastian said into the phone, his voice dropping an octave, razor-sharp. "Freeze all personal assets belonging to Eleanor Carter and Olivia Bennett. Revoke Olivia's security clearance to all Carter Global properties immediately. And call an emergency board meeting for 2:00 PM today."

He hung up, then looked at Olivia with lethal calmness. "If you are still on this property in sixty seconds, Marcus will throw you into the river."

Olivia gasped, looking at Marcus, but the head of security simply stepped in front of her, blocking her path to Sebastian. Devastated and humiliated, Olivia turned on her heels, scrambling into a taxi and speeding away.

Sebastian looked at me, his eyes desperate. "Hannah... let me make this right. Please."

"It’s too late for 'right', Sebastian," I said softly. "You have a board meeting at two. But I have a story to tell the press at noon."
