Chapter 7 - THE RECKONING AT THE PENTHOUSEThree weeks later, the corporate board room at Cole Enterprises—now officially renamed Blue-Horizon Global—was packed to maximum capacity.

The mahogany double doors opened, and absolute silence fell over the room.

Amelia walked in. She wasn't wearing an actress's costume or a simple silk dress. She wore a sharp, bespoke midnight-blue pantsuit, her hair pulled back into a sleek bun, exuding the undeniable aura of a corporate empress. Victor Sterling walked beside her, carrying a sleek leather briefcase.

At the far end of the long conference table sat Ethan. He looked ten years older. His suit was wrinkled, his hair unkempt, and the arrogant spark in his eyes had been completely extinguished. He was no longer the CEO; he was a disgraced minority shareholder invited to his own execution.

Amelia took the central seat at the head of the table—the seat that had belonged to Ethan for a decade.

She looked around the room, meeting the eyes of every board member who had once looked down on her or ignored her presence at charity galas.

"Good morning, gentlemen," Amelia’s voice echoed clearly through the silent room. "Let us begin."

Victor stood up and slid a document across the table toward Ethan. "Mr. Cole, pursuant to Section 4 of the restructuring agreement, your remaining minor shares in the company are being bought out at nominal market value, settling your remaining corporate debts and legal liabilities. You are officially stripped of all executive powers, board voting rights, and association with Blue-Horizon Global."

Ethan stared at the paper. His hands shook as he picked up a pen. He looked across the table at Amelia, his voice a hoarse, broken whisper.

"Amelia... is there nothing left of the man you loved?"

Amelia didn't look angry. She didn't look triumphant. She looked at him with profound, chilling indifference—the worst kind of pity.

"The man I loved died twelve years ago in a rented room, Ethan," Amelia said softly. "The man sitting in front of me is just a stranger who forgot where he came from. Sign the paper."

With a trembling hand, Ethan pressed the pen to the paper and signed away the last remnants of his kingdom.
