Chapter 7 - REUNION IN THE RUINSJulian dropped his flashlight, sliding into the mud as he rushed across the greenhouse floor. He dropped to his knees beside the huddled figure, throwing his arms around Walter’s frail, shivering shoulders.

"Dad, oh God... Dad, I've got you. I'm right here," Julian whispered, his voice breaking completely as tears mixed with the rainwater streaming down his face.
Walter blinked slowly, his pale blue eyes unfocused as he looked up at the impeccably dressed CEO holding him in the mud. For a second, the confusion in his gaze ran deep, like water over river stones. Then, a faint spark of recognition flickered in his eyes.
"Julian?" Walter croaked, his voice raspy and weak from the cold. "What... what are you doing out here in the rain, son? You'll ruin your suit."
Julian let out a wet, broken laugh, burying his face against his father’s shoulder. "I don't give a damn about the suit, Dad. I thought I lost you."
Lily stood quietly near the entrance of the greenhouse, her backpack dripping water onto the concrete floor, watching the powerful billionaire hold his fragile father. For the first time all afternoon, the cold knot in her chest dissolved.
Footsteps crunched heavily on the gravel outside as the estate search team converged on the greenhouse, panting and flashing their lights through the open doorway.
"We found him!" Julian shouted back over his shoulder, his voice ringing with absolute authority and immense relief. "Get the medical van down here right now! Bring thermal blankets and warm saline!"
As the medical team rushed in with emergency gear, gently lifting Walter onto a padded stretcher, Walter turned his head and spotted Lily standing near the door. Even wrapped in a thermal foil blanket, shivering and pale, the old man reached out a weak hand.
"Lily," Walter whispered, his voice barely audible over the hum of the rain.
Lily stepped forward, taking his frail, calloused hand in her small one. "I'm right here, Walter."
Walter managed a tired, crooked smile. "You found me again."
"You're not that hard to find," Lily smiled softly, squeezing his fingers.
Julian looked up from his father’s side, his striking blue eyes locking onto Lily with a depth of gratitude so profound it felt almost overwhelming. He stood up slowly, stepping over the debris, and knelt down in front of the little girl.
"Lily," Julian said, his voice steady and solemn. "You saved my father's life today. And not just today—you looked after him when everyone else in this place was too blind, too selfish, or too cruel to care."

"I just did what my mom taught me," Lily murmured, looking down at her scuffed sneakers. "Never step over somebody who needs help."
Julian gently placed a hand on her shoulder. "Your mother raised an extraordinary daughter. And from this moment on, your lives are going to change. I promise you that."
