Chapter 10 - THE NEW LIFEThree years later.

We live in a small, coastal town under new identities. Julian is a vibrant, talkative, and brilliant little boy. He talks constantly—mostly to Maisie, who remains his best friend.

The pharmaceutical company was dismantled, and the families involved received full justice. I don't run a billion-dollar company anymore. I run a foundation that supports neurodivergent children and their families.

I look at Julian playing in the sand, his laughter carrying over the ocean breeze. I realize that the "impossible situation" wasn't Julian’s diagnosis. It was my refusal to see the world through his eyes. I lost the blazer, the mansion, and the prestige, but I gained the only thing that actually matters: a son who looks at me, listens to me, and calls me 'Daddy.'
