chapter 1

No one expected a child to walk into the Iron Wolves clubhouse.
Especially not alone.
The heavy wooden door creaked open just after sunset, and every conversation inside the packed biker bar came to an abrupt stop. Leather jackets, tattoos, roaring laughter, and clinking beer bottles suddenly gave way to complete silence.
Standing in the doorway was a skinny eight-year-old boy wearing a faded red hoodie, worn-out sneakers, and a backpack that looked older than he was.
He didn't cry.
He didn't run.
He simply looked around the room with nervous eyes as dozens of hardened bikers stared back at him.
One giant biker muttered, "Kid... you're in the wrong place."
Another laughed.
"Someone lose their little brother?"
The room erupted with mocking laughter.
But the boy never smiled.
Instead, he slowly walked forward, passing between rows of tattooed men twice his size. Every step echoed across the wooden floor.
The laughter faded.
Something about the boy's calm expression made even the toughest bikers uncomfortable.
Finally, he stopped in front of the biggest man in the clubhouse.
Over six feet tall.
Long gray hair.
A thick beard.
A face covered with old scars earned from decades of violence.
Everyone simply called him...
Jax.
Jax had never feared another man.
Yet as the little boy looked directly into his eyes, something strange happened.
His heartbeat quickened.
The child reached into his backpack.
Several bikers instantly stood up, hands moving toward their weapons.
"Easy, kid."
Instead of pulling out a weapon, the boy carefully removed an old, weathered photograph.
The edges were torn.
The colors had almost disappeared with time.
He held it out with trembling hands.
Jax frowned as he accepted it.
The moment his eyes landed on the picture...
His entire body froze.
His breathing stopped.
Because the faded photograph showed a much younger Jax.
Standing beside his motorcycle.
Holding a newborn baby in his arms.
A baby no one inside the clubhouse had ever seen before.
The room became so quiet that the buzzing neon lights could be heard.
Jax looked from the picture...
Back to the boy.
His voice cracked for the first time in over twenty years.
"Where... did you get this?"
The child swallowed hard.
Then he quietly whispered four words that shattered every secret Jax had buried for nearly a decade.
"I'm looking for Dad."
Every biker in the room laughed.
They thought it had to be some cruel joke.
But Jax wasn't laughing.
His face had turned completely pale.
Because only one person in the world knew that photograph existed.
And she had supposedly died eight years ago.
Then the boy reached into his backpack one more time.
He unfolded a yellowed letter sealed with dried blood.
Across the front were words written in shaky handwriting:
"Only give this to Jax... if they finally find my son."
Jax's hands began to shake.
Because he instantly recognized the handwriting.
It belonged to the woman he had spent eight years mourning...
The woman whose body had never actually been found.
And in that terrifying moment...
Jax realized the impossible.
Someone had lied to him.
Someone had stolen his child.
And whoever did it had finally sent the boy back...
May you like
For a reason far more dangerous than anyone inside the clubhouse could imagine.
