Frank Walker pulled Elena into a sterile, windowless security office. He slammed the door and locked it, his breath coming in sharp, shallow bursts.

Chapter 5 - THE HIGHWAY CHASEThey stole a van from the hangar, Elena driving while her mother checked the perimeter. They were being pursued by a convoy of black SUVs.
"Dad is coming," Elena said, watching the side mirror.
"He's not your father anymore," her mother replied, loading a submachine gun. "He's a ghost in a machine. Don't let him catch you."
A bullet shattered the back window. Elena drifted the van onto a dirt service road, the tires screaming.
