CHAPTER 4 – The Billion-Dollar Secret Hidden Beneath Walter’s Name

Exactly one week after Ethan opened The Walter Home, life finally seemed peaceful.
The headlines praised the sixteen-year-old who had turned heartbreak into hope.
Television crews called him "America's Youngest Philanthropist."
Thousands donated to his foundation.
For the first time in months, Ethan smiled without pretending.
Then, at 7:13 a.m. on a rainy Tuesday, a black SUV stopped outside the nursing home.
Four men in dark suits stepped out.
None of them introduced themselves.
One simply handed Ethan a black envelope sealed with a silver crest.
Inside was a single sentence.
"Mr. Walter's final instruction has now been activated. Please meet us immediately."
Confused, Ethan followed them to a private airfield.
A helicopter lifted into the clouds and landed on the roof of a skyscraper he had never seen before.
The building carried no company logo.
Only one word was engraved into the marble entrance:
AURELIUS.
Inside, over two hundred executives were already standing.
The moment Ethan entered...
Every person in the room stood up.
Then, without a single word...
They bowed.
A gray-haired woman stepped forward.
"My name is Eleanor Pierce."
"I served your grandfather for thirty-eight years."
She placed a leather folder in Ethan's hands.
"Mr. Walter never sold his business."
Ethan frowned.
"What do you mean?"
She smiled sadly.
"He only made the world believe he did."
The conference room lights dimmed.
A massive screen lit up.
It displayed maps, factories, shipping ports, hospitals, and technology companies spread across five continents.
"The Aurelius Group owns all of these."
Ethan's heart nearly stopped.
"But... Grandpa lived in a tiny apartment."
Eleanor nodded.
"Because he wanted to know who loved him... without knowing his wealth."
Then she revealed the truth that changed everything.
Walter had secretly remained the majority owner of one of the largest private business empires in the world.
Its estimated value...
Forty-eight billion dollars.
The room erupted into applause.
But Ethan couldn't celebrate.
Because another document slid across the table.
At the top, in bold red letters, were the words:
EMERGENCY SECURITY ALERT.
Someone had already learned Walter's empire now belonged to Ethan.
And that person had quietly purchased enough shares to launch a hostile takeover.
Eleanor looked Ethan directly in the eyes.
"This isn't about money anymore."
"It's about survival."
Then she revealed a photograph taken only twelve hours earlier.
Ethan froze.
The man secretly leading the takeover wasn't a stranger.
It was someone everyone believed had died twenty years ago...
Walter's own younger brother.
The man who had vanished with millions...
May you like
And who had just returned to reclaim everything.
