Chapter 9 - The Final Showdown at the South BranchThe rain fell in sheets over the rusted shipping containers of the South Branch docks. Sirens wailed in the distance as federal task forces swarmed the perimeter, executing simultaneous raids on Salvatore Moretti’s primary assets—raids triggered by the encrypted files Dominic had handed over at dawn.

Inside the main warehouse, Salvatore Moretti paced frantically, pistol in hand, surrounded by his last remaining loyal guards.

The heavy steel sliding door of the warehouse screeched open.

Out of the rain and smoke stepped Dominic Ashford, flanked by Carter and a dozen elite operatives. Dominic walked with cold, measured strides, his trench coat billowing behind him, his eyes dead and unyielding.

"Ashford!" Moretti shrieked, raising his weapon with a trembling hand. "You're ruined! You have nothing left!"

"I have everything that matters," Dominic replied, his voice echoing off the corrugated metal walls.

Before Moretti could squeeze the trigger, a deafening crash echoed through the warehouse as federal flashbang grenades detonated overhead, blinding the Syndicate guards. In seconds, Dominic crossed the distance between them, disarming Moretti with a brutal, crushing blow to the jaw that sent the rival boss crashing onto the concrete floor.
