I stood on the balcony of a beautiful home, overlooking the vast expanse of the Callahan valley. I wasn't the girl with the silver dollar anymore. I was the head of a fashion house that spanned the state.
Luke stood behind me, his arms wrapped around my waist. He hadn't just inherited the ranch; he had built an empire, and he had built it with me.
"Do you ever think about that night?" he asked.
"Every day," I said. "The night I realized that one dollar didn't define me."
