Chapter 10 - The Final BlueprintThe wedding was not announced in the society columns, nor was it raided by the FBI. It was held in a private, heavily guarded chapel overlooking the crystal-clear waters of Lake Geneva, surrounded only by Oliver, Gabriel, and a few loyal guards who had become family.

As I walked down the aisle in a simple, elegant ivory gown, holding my son's small hand while Oliver carried the rings, my heart didn't race with fear anymore. It beat with absolute peace.

Waiting for me at the altar was Sebastian Lombardi.

He stood tall, broad-shouldered, and entirely unassisted, wearing a classic black tuxedo. As our eyes met across the aisle, the notorious crime boss of Chicago gave me a look of such raw, unfiltered devotion that it took my breath away.

When we reached the altar, Sebastian gently took my hand, his fingers warm and strong.

"You look breathtaking," he whispered just for me.

"You clean up nice for an ex-convict in witness protection," I teased back softly.

The minister began the ceremony, but my mind drifted back to that rainy evening six months ago—the night a terrifying man built like a freight train walked into my rundown wellness center, dropped ten thousand dollars on my table, and changed our lives forever.

People said I was crazy to touch him. They said he was beyond saving. They said danger would destroy us.

They were right about the danger. But they were wrong about the outcome.

I wasn't searching for a crime empire. I wasn't looking for a billionaire kingpin with a target on his back.

Somehow, danger found me. And in the process, I found a home, a miracle, and a love powerful enough to conquer the darkest corners of the world.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife," the minister smiled. "Sebastian, you may kiss your bride."

Sebastian didn't hesitate. He pulled me flush against his chest, his lips capturing mine in a deep, fierce, and passionate kiss that made the entire world fade away.

As the applause erupted around us, I looked over at Oliver, who was grinning from ear to ear, holding up a camera to take our picture.

The nightmare was over. Our new empire had just begun.
