CHAPTER 1 – The Sandwich That Changed Everything

Nobody expected a little girl to stop in the middle of a dangerous alley.
Especially not to walk toward the dirty teenage boy everyone else avoided.
The homeless boy hadn't eaten in nearly two days. His clothes were torn, his face was covered in dust, and he kept his head down, pretending not to notice the people who stared at him with disgust.
Everyone passed him.
Everyone...
Except six-year-old Lily Parker.
"Daddy," she whispered, tugging on her father's sleeve. "He's hungry."
Her father barely looked up from his phone.
"Don't go near him, sweetheart."
But Lily had already slipped away.
Holding the cheeseburger her grandmother had bought her only minutes earlier, she slowly walked toward the frightened boy.
The teenager looked up, expecting another cruel joke.
Instead...
A tiny hand stretched out the warm burger.
"I think you need this more than I do."
The boy blinked.
"No... I can't take your food."
"You can," Lily smiled. "Mom says people should never be hungry."
For several seconds, neither of them moved.
Then, with trembling hands, he accepted it.
His eyes filled with tears.
Nobody had spoken kindly to him in months.
As he took the very first bite, tears rolled silently down his dirty cheeks.
People walking past stopped to watch.
Some smiled.
Others pulled out their phones.
Within minutes, videos of the little girl feeding the homeless teenager were spreading across social media.
Thousands of comments appeared.
"Faith in humanity restored."
"This little girl has a bigger heart than most adults."
"Someone help that poor boy!"
Lily simply waved goodbye.
"I hope tomorrow is better for you."
The boy couldn't even answer.
He just nodded while clutching the burger like it was the most valuable thing he'd ever owned.
But then...
A black luxury SUV suddenly screeched to a stop at the entrance of the alley.
Three expensive cars followed behind it.
Everyone turned.
A beautiful blonde woman stepped out wearing a designer trench coat.
She wasn't looking at Lily.
She wasn't looking at the crowd.
Her terrified eyes were searching for only one person.
Then she saw the homeless boy.
"No..."
Her voice cracked.
She ran toward him without caring that her expensive heels splashed through muddy puddles.
The crowd watched in complete silence.
The elegant woman dropped to her knees.
She grabbed the dirty teenager's face with shaking hands.
"My son..."
The boy froze.
"So... you finally found me."
Gasps echoed across the alley.
The homeless teenager wasn't an orphan.
He was the missing son of one of the wealthiest families in the entire city.
But before anyone could understand what had happened...
The woman noticed the half-eaten burger in his hands.
"What... who gave you this?"
The boy slowly pointed toward Lily.
The mother's eyes filled with tears.
She looked at the little girl...
Then whispered something that left everyone speechless.
May you like
"That little girl may have just saved my son's life."
