Chapter 10 - The Ultimate Plot TwistThe entire wedding party froze. The music cut out instantly. Three hundred guests turned around in stunned, paralyzed silence, staring at the disheveled apparition standing at the threshold.

Clara’s face lost every trace of color. For the first time all day, her ironclad composure cracked. She dropped Julian’s hand and took a step back, her mouth opening in shock.

Eleanor didn't look at the terrified guests. She didn't look at the shocked officiant. She walked straight down the center aisle, her bare feet slapping sharply against the pristine white runner, her gaze locked exclusively on Julian and Clara.

When she reached the altar, she didn't scream or cry. Instead, a slow, terrifying smile spread across her face—a smile that matched Clara’s earlier coldness, but carried the weight of a ghost returned from hell.

"Did you really think a few knots and an old wardrobe could keep me down, Clara?" Eleanor’s voice rang out crystal clear across the silent glasshouse, dripping with venomous amusement.

Before Julian could process the surreal nightmare unfolding before him, Eleanor turned her head and looked directly at him, her eyes softening into something sickeningly intimate.

"Hello, husband," Eleanor purred, stepping between Julian and Clara. "Did you miss me? Because your new bride and I have spent the last six months planning this exact surprise party for you."

Julian staggered backward, the ground beneath his feet giving way. He looked from Eleanor to Clara, watching as Clara’s panicked expression melted away into a calm, triumphant smirk. They weren't enemies fighting over his ruin. They were partners, and he had just walked straight into their trap.

Before Julian could run, heavy hands gripped his shoulders from behind. Arthur and two local police officers stepped out from the side exits, clicking heavy steel handcuffs around his wrists.

"Julian Vance," the lead officer’s voice boomed through the quiet glasshouse. "You're under arrest for the attempted murder, kidnapping, and conspiracy against your wife, Eleanor Vance."

As the metal cuffs locked tight, Julian realized the terrible truth: the wardrobe wasn't a prison for Eleanor. It had been a holding cell designed to break him, and the wedding was never a ceremony—it was his execution.
