Chapter 7 - The Boardroom CoupTwo weeks later, the remaining board members attempted a desperate maneuver. They called an emergency shareholders' meeting to vote Camille out as CEO, claiming her ‘emotional instability’ and ‘reckless destruction of corporate assets’ had ruined the company.

They thought they had the votes. They thought Camille would come in broken, desperate to negotiate.

Instead, Camille walked into the glass-walled boardroom wearing a simple black blazer, flanked not by corporate attorneys, but by Warren Brooks and state prosecutors.

“You’re out of order, Camille,” shouted Arthur Sterling, the senior board member who had helped cover up Richard’s crimes. “We have eighty percent of the proxy votes. You have no authority here.”

Camille placed a thick manila folder on the polished oak table.

“You’re right, Arthur,” she said, her voice echoing in the silent room. “I don’t have authority under the old corporate charter. Because as of this morning, Crowe Industries is no longer a publicly traded entity.”

Sterling scoffed. “Don’t be absurd. You can’t buy out eighty percent of the shares without liquidating your personal trust.”

“I didn't liquidate my trust,” Camille smiled calmly. “I partnered with an independent green-energy trust and a national foundation for pediatric mobility. Furthermore, every asset tied to the illegal hush funds has been seized under RICO statutes. Your shares are currently worth zero.”

The room erupted in panic. Executives stood up, shouting over one another, realizing they were legally and financially ruined.

Camille turned and walked out, leaving them to drown in the very empire they had built on lies.
