CHAPTER 3 – The Wedding Trap

Amelia stared at Lily.
“What do you mean… another bride?”
The little girl looked toward the doors where Nathan had just been dragged out.
“My mommy cleans hotels,” Lily whispered. “She heard them talking. They marry rich women, steal everything after the wedding, then disappear.”
Amelia’s blood turned cold.
The maid of honor wasn’t Nathan’s lover.
She was his partner.
And Amelia had almost been their next target.
That night, while guests were still posting the scandal online, Amelia did something no one expected.
She didn’t go home.
She went straight to the police.
With Lily’s mother, the hidden camera, the videos, and the contract, Amelia exposed a marriage scam that had already destroyed three women.
But the biggest shock came at midnight.
Nathan called her from an unknown number.
His voice was calm.
“You think you ruined me?”
Amelia said nothing.
Nathan laughed softly.
“You only found what I wanted you to find.”
Then he sent one final video.
Amelia opened it…
And froze.
It showed Nathan standing outside her father’s hospital room.
Her father had died one week before the wedding.
Or at least…
That was what Amelia had been told.
In the video, her father was alive.
Weak.
Terrified.
And whispering one sentence into the camera:
“Amelia… don’t trust the little girl.”
Amelia stepped back, shaking.
Because at that exact moment…
Lily was standing behind her.
Smiling.
And in her tiny hand was Amelia’s father’s wedding ring.

The little girl whispered:
“Now you know the real game has started.”
