“A good leader doesn't run away from his mistakes, son,” I explained, leaning back in my chair. “A true leader stays, owns every flaw, and rebuilds the foundation stronger than before. You were weak, and you were blinded by greed. But you felt the guilt, and you stood before me today to accept the consequences.”
Chinedu’s eyes welled up with tears, and for the first time in months, the heavy burden lifted from his chest.
“Thank you, Mama,” he whispered, his voice trembling. “I promise you... I will never take a single brick of this family for granted again.”
