Chapter 6 - Justice ServedPandemonium broke out in the ballroom. Ngozi screamed, dropping her crystal champagne flute as it shattered against the floor. Adaeze stood frozen near the back, her face drained of all color, realizing her entire future had just evaporated into thin air.

Chief Eze thrashed as federal marshals snapped heavy steel handcuffs onto his wrists. “This is a conspiracy! My daughter is married to him! He’s blind, he doesn't know what he’s doing!”

“I am perfectly aware of everything, Uncle,” Chidi said, his voice cold, sharp, and absolute. “Including the fact that your daughter Adaeze openly mocked my condition while helping you launder the stolen assets.”

As Chief Eze and Ngozi were dragged out in disgrace, the media swarmed the stage, thrusting microphones toward us.

“Mr. Nwosu! Who holds the controlling shares of the conglomerate now?” a reporter shouted over the noise.

Chidi turned, finding my hand in the bright lights, and pulled me gently against his side.

“The controlling voting shares of the entire empire have officially been transferred to my wife, Adaeze,” Chidi announced firmly. “The woman who saved my life fifteen years ago, and who gave me the truth tonight.”
