Chapter 8 - The Fall of Serena ValeSerena snapped, her aristocratic composure completely shattering under the weight of public humiliation.

She stood up, her face twisted in venomous hatred, and lunged across the table toward Maya with her fingernails outstretched. “You filthy little gold digger! I’ll tear your eyes out—!”

Before Serena could take two steps, two massive security guards materialized from the shadows of the doors, seizing her arms and pinning her firmly in place.

“Let me go! Do you know who my family is?! You can’t do this to me!” Serena shrieked, kicking and thrashing wildly as her designer dress ripped at the seams.

Victoria Sterling slowly set down her champagne flute, the sound ringing out like a judge’s gavel.

“Take her and her mother out of my house,” Victoria commanded coldly, her eyes flashing with pure ice. “And ensure the Vale family textile accounts are blacklisted from every hotel property in North America.”

Serena wept hysterically as she was dragged out of the grand dining hall, her social standing, her fortune, and her dreams of marrying into the Sterling empire evaporating in a single, devastating moment.

Blake stood trembling against the wall, completely paralyzed, as two federal marshals—summoned discreetly by Adrian ten minutes prior—stepped through the front doors.

“Blake Sterling, you are under arrest for corporate fraud, grand larceny, and money laundering,” the lead marshal announced, snapping heavy steel handcuffs around his wrists.

As Blake was hauled away in chains, the grand dining hall remained dead silent.
