Chapter 8 - THE NEW HORIZONThat evening, the university hosted its annual faculty gala in the grand ballroom. Crystal chandeliers cast a dazzling, diamond-like brilliance across the polished marble floor, and the air was filled with the soft murmur of intellectual conversation and the clinking of champagne flutes.

Selena stood near the balcony doors, wearing a stunning emerald-green gown that caught the light with every movement. She looked entirely transformed—not just because of the dress or the elegant haircut, but because of the unshakable aura of absolute sovereignty that radiated from her.

Several senior professors and university regents stood around her, hanging on her every word as she discussed her upcoming book tour and her research fellowship in London.

Selena smiled back, lifting her own glass of sparkling water.
