Chapter 10 - NEW DAWN AND THE ULTIMATE TWISTDante knelt on the marble floor, clutching his bruised wrist, panting like a trapped animal. He looked up at Viktor, his eyes wide with desperate pleading.

"Viktor... please. We're brothers. Family..."

"You ceased being family the moment you rolled me into that ravine," Viktor said, his voice entirely devoid of emotion. He looked back at his loyal enforcers. "Take him to the freight facility. Strip him of his titles, his accounts, and his name. Put him on a cargo ship bound for the outer islands. Let him see what it's like to live with nothing."

As two enforcers grabbed a screaming Dante and dragged him out of the ballroom, the remaining guests stood frozen, waiting for their own fate.

Viktor turned his wheelchair slowly to face the room.

"The Vance syndicate is reorganizing tonight," Viktor announced, his voice carrying the weight of absolute power. "From this moment forward, our operations in drugs and trafficking cease permanently. We transition into infrastructure, technology, and legitimate enterprise. Anyone who disagrees is welcome to leave through the front gates right now."

Not a single person moved. In the criminal underworld, survival meant bowing to the true king.

The room slowly emptied as the terrified guests and corrupt officials filed out in trembling silence, leaving only Viktor, Mara, and Bear standing alone in the grand ballroom.

Viktor let out a long, slow breath, his shoulders slumping slightly as the adrenaline finally faded, leaving behind the dull ache of his healing wounds. He looked up at Mara, who stood near the shattered glass of the champagne display, exhausted but unbreakable.

"You realize," Viktor said softly, a faint, weary smile touching his lips, "you're never going back to that cabin, right?"

Mara looked around the opulent ballroom, then down at the heavy leather backpack containing the cash, and finally back at the dangerous, complex man who had just reclaimed his empire.

"I think," Mara said with a quiet, knowing smirk, "my dog needs a much bigger yard."

Viktor laughed—a deep, genuine sound that echoed off the marble walls. He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a heavy, ornate golden key, resting it gently on the edge of a nearby table.

"The snow outside is finally stopping, Mara," Viktor said quietly. "And outside these gates, a new world is waiting. Want to see what comes next?"

Bear walked over, sitting proudly between them, letting out a contented huff as the first rays of dawn broke through the massive glass windows, bathing the entire estate in a warm, golden light.
