Chapter 10 - FOREVERMarcus stared down at the collar, recognizing the Valente family crest instantly. His knees buckled slightly, forcing him to grip the edge of the table.

"Where... where did you get that?" Marcus whispered, his voice trembling so hard the words barely formed.
"From my daughter," Ezra said softly.
The entire boardroom erupted into whispered shock.
Rosalie? She's alive?
"You cut my mother's brakes," Ezra continued, his voice dropping into a lethal, quiet register that made every mob boss and executive in the room stop breathing. "You locked our family mastiff in a shipping container to starve. You tried to murder my ten-year-old child and spent eight years pretending to mourn at my family dinner table."
Marcus tried to swallow, his eyes darting frantically toward the windows, looking for an escape route that wasn't there. "Ezra... brother... listen to me, it's a misunderstanding—"
Ezra didn't let him finish. He reached out with terrifying speed, grabbed Marcus by the lapels of his expensive suit, hoisted him halfway across the table, and slammed him down so hard the mahogany wood groaned.
"The audio logs are already playing on every terminal in the Federal District Attorney's office," Ezra whispered into Marcus’s white, terrified face. "Your accounts are frozen. Your men are disarmed. And your empire is dust."
Ezra let go, letting Marcus collapse pathetically onto the floor, gasping for air like a dying fish.

Ezra straightened his cuffs, turned around, and looked out across the terrified board members.
"Meeting adjourned," Ezra said coldly.
