Chapter 10 - THE UNBREAKABLE CIRCLEThe sun was setting over the Westchester estate, casting a brilliant, golden-orange glow across the rolling lawns and the ancient oak trees.

Inside the nursery, the room was bathed in soft twilight.

Sesto, now four and a half years old, sat on the edge of her white wooden bed in her favorite pajamas, clutching a storybook in her small hands. Cradled right beside her against the pillows was Sabia, his cream-colored coat gleaming in the dim light, his dark eyes blinking sleepily.

The door opened quietly, and Ricardo stepped in, holding a glass of water.

"Bedtime, Piccolina," Ricardo said softly, walking over and sitting on the edge of the mattress.

Sesto closed her book, looked up at her father with eyes that held the exact same steady, unwavering depth as his own, and smiled brightly.

"Daddy," she said, her voice clear, confident, and full of life. "Will you read me the story about the wolf and the dog again?"

Ricardo paused, feeling a sudden, overwhelming wave of emotion swell in his chest—not the cold, heavy fear of a man surrounded by enemies, but the warm, unbreakable strength of a father who had fought through hell to reach his child.

He set the glass of water on the nightstand, pulled the quilt up over her shoulders, and reached out to stroke Sabia’s velvety head.

"Once upon a time," Ricardo began, his deep, resonant voice filling the quiet room, "there was a kingdom built on stone and silence... until the quiet was broken by something much more powerful than any weapon ever forged."

Sesto yawned, her eyelids growing heavy, leaning her head against Sabia’s warm chest as the dog let out a soft, contented sigh.

And in that house, where silence had once reigned like a ghost, there was now only peace, love, and a family that could never be broken again.
