Chapter 7 - THE EXPULSIONThe fallout was swift and merciless.

Julian Vance seized the opportunity, calling an emergency session of the board. With the revelation of the 5-year-old safety scandal and the explosive confrontation with Sarah, the board voted 8 to 2 to strip Graeme of his CEO title, freeze his personal accounts pending an investigation, and lock him out of the building.

Graeme didn't fight back. He didn't call his lawyers. He packed a single cardboard box with his personal items—a framed photo of Oliver, a few legal pads, and the wooden toy train Oliver had given him—and walked out the front doors of the tower he had built.

He didn't go back to his mansion. He went to a small, quiet diner across the street from Sarah’s new apartment building, sitting in a corner booth day after day, watching from a distance, accepting his exile as the only penance he could offer.

Meanwhile, Sarah was locked in a storm of her own. The revelation about Thomas had opened old wounds, but it also lit a fire. She wasn't going to let her husband’s death be buried under corporate silence.
