Vincent and Lucy stood on the porch, watching the sunset.
He pulled the blue blanket from his shoulders. He hadn’t realized until that moment that he had kept it all this time—not because he was holding on to the past, but because he was grateful for the present.
He saw Eleanor’s car pulling up the drive.
He realized that the woman who knocked on his door that freezing night wasn't an intruder. She was the one who had finally allowed him to let go of the anger and keep the love.
