Chapter 10 - The Spring CelebrationSaturday afternoon at the Maple Street Community Center was a festival of bright colors, laughter, and blooming tulips.

A massive banner hung across the brick facade read: THE JENSEN COMMUNITY CENTER — BUILT ON KINDNESS.
Children ran across the newly manicured lawn, playing tag near the fresh flower beds. On a shaded wooden bench, May Jensen sat laughing with Pastor Ruth, looking healthier and happier than she had in years.
A few feet away, Spencer Weston stood with his hands in his pockets, watching the scene unfold with absolute peace in his heart.
Running across the grass, chasing a golden retriever puppy, were Ellie and Wyatt.
Ellie wore a brand-new yellow jacket, but tied securely around her waist, sleeves flapping in the spring breeze, was her old gray hoodie with the jagged star zipper pull—a badge of honor reminding everyone of the day a poor girl’s warmth melted an empire of ice.
Wyatt stopped, picking up a bright yellow tulip from the garden bed and running over to Ellie.
“Here, Ellie,” Wyatt beamed, handing her the flower. “For your bucket.”
Ellie smiled, taking the tulip and placing it gently beside her, not for sale, but to keep.
Spencer felt a warm hand tap his shoulder. He turned.
May Jensen stood beside him, her eyes shining with unshed tears of gratitude.
“Thank you, Mr. Weston,” May whispered softly. “For everything.”
Spencer shook his head, looking out at the children laughing under the spring sun.
“No, Mrs. Jensen,” Spencer smiled, his voice filled with deep humility. “Thank your daughter. She didn't just save my son... she saved my soul.”

And out in the city, the river flowed bright and clear beneath the spring sky, carrying away the last remnants of winter, while inside a warm, thriving community, a billionaire and a poor girl had proven that love is the only currency that never loses its value.
