Chapter 9 - THE BOARDROOM BATTLEI walked into the board meeting of my mother-in-law’s company—the company that was now technically mine due to the clauses in my father's will. The board members, many of whom were friends of Victoria, stared in shock.

"The merger is canceled," I announced, placing the keys to the office on the table. "And every executive who knew about the twins' poisoning is currently under federal investigation."

I didn't need to shout. The power in the room had shifted, and everyone could feel it.
