Chapter 8 - THE LAST TRAPVictor Parker appeared on every screen at midnight.

His face was calm.

Older than Theo remembered.

But alive.

“You've become quite successful, nephew.”

Theo stared.

“You killed my brother.”

Victor smiled.

“Your brother made poor decisions.”

“You destroyed children.”

“I built a system.”

“You sold them.”

“I gave them families.”

Theo clenched his fists.

“You stole them.”

Victor's expression hardened.

“History belongs to whoever controls the records.”

Theo held up the evidence.

“Not anymore.”

Victor laughed.

“You think documents will save you?”

Then a video appeared.

Lily.

Sitting alone.

Theo's blood froze.

Victor continued:

“You have six hours.”

“Where is she?”

“Bring every copy of the evidence.”

Theo's security team immediately began tracing the video.

But Victor had anticipated everything.

The signal bounced across dozens of servers.

Theo realized something.

Victor didn't want the evidence.

He wanted Theo.

“He's trying to draw us somewhere.”

Sarah looked at him.

“Where?”

Theo stared at the screen.

Behind Lily was a wall.

A faded mural.

A blue lighthouse.

He recognized it.

The old Walker coastal property.

Theo grabbed his coat.

“That's where my father kept his private files.”

They drove through the night.

When they arrived, the mansion was dark.

Too dark.

Theo entered.

A gunshot cracked.

Everyone froze.

Then Victor stepped from the shadows.

“Welcome home.”
