CHAPTER 3: The Man They Buried Was Waiting for Revenge

The roar of five hundred motorcycles echoed across the valley.
News helicopters followed from above.
Police tried to stop them.
No one could.
This wasn't a memorial ride anymore.
It was a race against death.
The old biker, Mason, held the photograph of Jack in one hand and twisted the throttle with the other.
"If we're too late..."
He couldn't finish the sentence.
Emma rode safely inside a police SUV surrounded by dozens of bikers.
No one was going to let anyone touch her again.
Three hours later...
The convoy reached a forgotten mountain road hidden behind abandoned logging trails.
Exactly where the photograph had been taken.
The cabin stood alone among towering pine trees.
Its windows were broken.
The front door swung open in the wind.
Everything was silent.
Too silent.
Mason slowly stepped inside.
"Jack?"
No answer.
The fireplace was still warm.
A half-finished cup of coffee sat on the table.
Someone had been here only minutes earlier.
Then Emma noticed something.
"D-Don't move..."
She pointed toward the wooden floor.
A faded military dog tag.
Mason picked it up.
It belonged to Jack.
Underneath it was another folded note.
His hands shook as he opened it.
"If you're reading this, they found me first."
The room froze.
Another line followed.
"Don't trust anyone wearing the silver eagle."
Mason's heartbeat stopped.
The Silver Eagle.
Only members of their own military unit had ever worn that symbol.
Which meant...
The traitor had never been an outsider.
He had been one of them all along.
Suddenly...
A gunshot shattered the silence.
Glass exploded across the room.
Everyone hit the floor.
More bullets ripped through the cabin walls.
"They found us!" someone yelled.
The bikers rushed outside, using their motorcycles as cover.
Black SUVs surrounded the mountain clearing.
Armed men poured out from every direction.
They weren't soldiers.
They weren't police.
They wore black tactical uniforms with one familiar emblem stitched onto every sleeve.
A silver eagle.
Emma screamed.
One masked man grabbed her arm and tried to pull her away.
Before anyone could react...
A rifle cracked from somewhere deep in the forest.
The masked man fell instantly.
Then another.
And another.
The attackers panicked.
"Sniper!"
"Find him!"
From the tree line, a tall bearded figure slowly emerged.
His clothes were torn.
His face was scarred.
His hair had turned gray.
But every biker recognized him immediately.
Jack.
Alive.
For a moment, no one moved.
Twenty years of grief...
Twenty years of guilt...
Twenty years of believing they had buried their brother.
Jack looked straight at Mason.
"You shouldn't have come."
Mason's eyes filled with tears.
"We buried an empty coffin."
Jack nodded.
"I know."
Emma ran toward him.
"Daddy!"
Jack dropped to his knees and caught her in his arms.
For the first time in twenty years...
The man everyone believed was dead finally held his daughter.
The bikers watched in silence.
Many openly cried.
But the reunion lasted only seconds.
Jack's smile disappeared as he looked toward the mountains.
"They're still coming."
Mason frowned.
"Who?"
Jack slowly reached into his jacket and pulled out a faded photograph.
It showed all six members of their old military team.
Five faces had red X marks drawn across them.
Only one face remained untouched.
Jack pointed to it.
His voice was barely above a whisper.
"The man who betrayed us..."
"...is leading the convoy behind you."
The bikers instinctively turned toward the road.
Far below...
Hundreds of black vehicles were climbing the mountain.
At the front of the convoy flew a silver eagle flag.
Then Jack said the words that made everyone's blood run cold.
"He isn't just hunting me anymore."
"He's coming to erase every person who knows the truth."
The mountain began to shake as engines thundered closer.
Five hundred bikers tightened their helmets.
Jack loaded one final magazine into his rifle.
This time...
They weren't riding to honor the dead.
May you like
They were riding to survive.
