Chapter 6 - The Ultimate Revenge (The Ending)

Viral Hook: 🚨 THE FINALE: Two years later, the bullies from the diner are broke and broken. But when they walk into the city's most exclusive club, look who is sitting on the throne... 😱👑👑Two Years Later
The engine of the black Maybach purred silently as it pulled up to the red carpet of The Iron Lion, the most exclusive, high-end lounge in the city's diamond district.
The paparazzi flashes went off like fireworks as the door opened.
I stepped out first. I wasn't wearing an apron or a faded smile anymore. I wore a custom-tailored, emerald-green velvet gown that hugged my hourglass curves like armor. Diamonds glittered at my throat and wrists. My hair was styled perfectly, and my eyes carried the calm, unshakeable confidence of a woman who ruled an empire.
Behind me stepped Nikolai Volkov, fully recovered, looking regal in his classic black suit. He took my hand, kissing the back of it gently before placing it on his arm.
"You look breathtaking, My Empress," he whispered.
"Let's go inside," I smiled. "We have guests to greet."
Tonight was the grand reopening of our latest venture, and I had invited some very specific people from my past.
As we walked through the VIP section, my eyes spotted a table near the back. Sitting there, looking deeply uncomfortable in cheap suits they clearly couldn't afford, were Todd and Brad.
Todd was balding, working a dead-end night shift at a gas station after his blacklisting. Brad was clutching a cane, his face pale as he looked around at the wealth and power surrounding him. They had been invited anonymously, promised a chance to pitch a business proposal to a wealthy investor.
When Nikolai and I approached their table, accompanied by four massive bodyguards, Todd and Brad instantly stood up, bowing nervously.
"Mr. Volkov, thank you so much for seeing us—" Todd began, his voice trembling. Then, his eyes drifted to me. His jaw dropped. He went completely white. "M-Maya?!"
Brad choked on his drink, his eyes bulging out of his head as he stared at the glamorous, powerful woman standing before him. "The... the waitress?"
I looked down at them, a slow, cold smile spreading across my lips. I didn't feel anger anymore. Only a profound, beautiful sense of victory.
"Hello, Todd. Hello, Brad," I said, my voice smooth and commanding. "I believe you wanted to pitch a business proposal to the owner of this establishment?"
"You... you own this?" Brad stammered, looking at my diamonds, then at Nikolai, whose hand was resting possessively on my waist.
"She owns this club, the diner you used to frequent, and half the real estate on this block," Nikolai said, his voice dropping into that terrifying, gravelly tone that made both men visibly shiver. "And she is the co-leader of the Volkov Syndicate. Which means, if you ever look at her incorrectly, or if you ever use a single insulting word regarding her appearance again, I won't just have my men break your other leg, Brad. I will make sure you both completely disappear from this earth. Do you understand me?"
Todd dropped to his knees right there on the club floor, weeping. "We're sorry, Maya! We're so sorry! We didn't know! Please, spare us!"
Brad was shaking so violently his cane rattled against the table. "Please... Maya... have mercy."
I looked down at them for a long moment, enjoying the absolute silence that fell over their table. The tables had completely turned. The girl they had mocked for being "too heavy to move fast" had moved fast enough to take over the underworld.
"Get them out of my sight," I told the guards calmly. "They're ruining the atmosphere."
The guards grabbed Todd and Brad by their collars, dragging them out into the rainy alley, throwing them into the trash bins where they belonged.
Nikolai handed me a glass of champagne, raising his own. "To the Queen of the City."

I clinked my glass against his, looking out over the crowded, glittering club. "To never looking back."
