Chapter 4 - THE WOLF AT THE DOOREvelyn Ashford sat in her penthouse, swirling a glass of 1945 Bordeaux, her eyes fixed on the digital security feed she had illegally accessed. She watched as her father’s private jet took off, heading toward a specialized clinic in Zurich, carrying Victoria and the three little girls.

“So,” she whispered to the empty room. “The mystery of the ‘lost love.’ Dad always was a sentimental fool.”
Her phone buzzed. A text from her lead corporate attorney: “The DNA samples you requested from the hospital trash bin are confirmed. 99.9% match. They are his, Evelyn.”
Evelyn’s face turned into a mask of pure venom.
If the triplets were officially recognized as Christopher’s daughters, her inheritance—a multi-billion dollar empire she had spent years maneuvering to control—would be sliced into four equal parts. She would go from being the sole heir to a junior partner.
“Not going to happen,” she muttered.
She opened a secure folder on her laptop and typed a single email to a man known as ‘The Cleaner’—a fixer who dealt with people who became inconvenient to corporate interests.
“The three girls in Zurich. I want them to disappear, but make it look like a tragic accident. And the mother? Make sure she never wakes up to claim anything.”
She hit SEND, closed her laptop, and smiled.
She didn't know that three floors down, her father’s head of security, a man who had been loyal to Christopher since the day he was born, was listening to every word through a bug he had planted weeks ago.
He waited until Evelyn left the room, then pulled out his own phone and dialed Christopher in Zurich.
“Sir,” he whispered. “The snake has begun to move.”

Christopher’s voice on the other end was quiet, cold, and final.
“Let her move,” Christopher said. “Let her walk right into the trap. And make sure she has front-row seats to her own downfall.”
