CHAPTER 10 — THE FINAL TRUTH

The countdown reached...

08:11

Ethan stared at the frightened boy.

He didn't raise his weapon.

Instead...

He slowly placed it on the floor.

"I'm not fighting you."

The Warden laughed.

"Pull the trigger, Noah."

The little boy's hands trembled.

Years of lies battled against one simple truth.

The man standing before him wasn't a monster.

He was his father.

Tears rolled down Noah's face.

"I don't know who to believe..."

Ethan took one careful step forward.

"You don't have to believe words."

"Believe your heart."

The pistol slowly lowered.

The Warden's smile disappeared.

"You weak little fool!"

He grabbed a hidden handgun and fired.

BANG!

Noah instinctively threw himself in front of Ethan.

The bullet struck the boy's shoulder.

"Noah!"

Ethan caught his son before he hit the ground.

At that instant, the Ghost tackled the Warden across the control room.

The two men crashed through a glass wall overlooking the prison.

Alarms screamed.

The control console sparked violently.

The self-destruct sequence accelerated.

02:00

The Ghost pinned the Warden to the floor.

"You stole all our lives."

"Now give them back."

The Warden smiled one last time.

"I already won."

He reached for the detonator.

Before he could press it—

The Executioner, who had survived the tournament, stepped from the smoke.

Without a word...

He crushed the detonator beneath his boot.

The Warden looked up in disbelief.

"You..."

The Executioner answered quietly,

"You taught us that monsters don't deserve mercy."

He walked away.

Leaving the Warden trapped beneath the collapsing ceiling.

Seconds later...

The control tower collapsed into the depths of the prison.

The Warden disappeared forever.

Outside...

The first rays of sunrise broke through the smoke.

Helicopters circled overhead.

Emergency crews rescued hundreds of surviving prisoners.

The hidden underground prison was finally exposed to the world.

Governments denied knowing it existed.

Powerful leaders resigned.

Secret files were released.

Project Phoenix became the biggest scandal in modern history.

Months later...

Ethan stood beside a quiet lake with his wife, Noah, the Ghost, and the Executioner.

For the first time...

They were free.

No cameras.

No guards.

No chains.

No prison.

Noah smiled.

"Is it finally over, Dad?"

Ethan looked toward the sunrise.

"I hope so."

Then his phone vibrated.

An unknown message appeared.

It contained only one sentence.

"Phoenix was never the only project."

Attached was a photograph.

A different prison.

On another continent.

Its gates slowly opening.

Behind them...

Thousands of prisoners turned toward the camera.

And standing at the front...

May you like

Was someone who looked exactly like Ethan.

THE END... OR IS IT? 🔥
