Dominic walked in, placing a new medallion on my desk. It matched his.
"You never told me," he said, his voice quiet. "That the house on Braddock Avenue? The one where you found me?"
"What about it?"
"It was the house where my mother died. You didn't just find me by accident, Emma. You were drawn there."
He took my hand, and for the first time, he didn't look like a boss. He looked like a man who had finally come home. "I’m stepping down. I’ve sold the empire. We’re leaving tonight."
