Vanguard Philanthropic had just finalized the transfer of ten million dollars in restitution funds to hundreds of families whose businesses and lives had been crushed by the Vance dynasty decades ago.

Julian walked beside her, carrying their daughter in a secure front carrier, smiling proudly as flashbulbs popped gently from a distance.

Clara walked up the grand stone steps of the courthouse, stopping for a brief moment to look up at the towering pillars of justice.
