"How much time do you need?" Damian demanded, stepping up to the desk, his hand resting inches from his firearm.
"Ninety seconds!" Emma yelled. "If they cut the power before the download completes, the drive will corrupt, and Mercer’s digital signature will be lost forever. We’ll have no proof!"
"Mateo, seal the bulkheads!" Damian ordered sharply. "Trigger protocol Omega. Flood the lower intake valves with nitrogen gas if they breach the outer corridors."
"On it, Boss!" Mateo sprinted toward the main security console, slamming down heavy override switches.
Outside the thick glass of the command center, heavy steel security shutters began slamming down one by one, sealing off the facility from the outside world. Muffled explosions rattled the concrete foundation as Vance’s men began planting explosive charges on the exterior doors.
Fifty seconds.
