Chapter 6 - RECOV-ERY AND REVENGEThree weeks after the horrific incident, I was finally discharged from the hospital.

My body was still recovering, and I walked with a slight limp, but my spirit was stronger than ever. In my arms, I held our miracle daughter—whom we named Hope.
When the black SUV pulled up not to our modest suburban home, but to the gates of the massive, breathtaking Blackwood Estate, I turned to Julian in utter shock.
"Julian... what is this place?" I asked, looking at the sprawling limestone mansion surrounded by lush gardens and fountains.
Julian looked at me with deep tenderness, taking my hand gently. "This was my grandfather’s home. My mother took it over after he passed, but it was always meant to be ours. I’ve spent the last three weeks having the entire place remodeled and cleared of her presence. Every trace of Genevieve Blackwood has been erased."
As the gates opened, the entire staff— butler, maids, chefs, gardeners—stood lined up along the grand driveway. As we stepped out of the vehicle, they bowed deeply in unison.
"Welcome home, Mrs. Blackwood," the head butler said warmly. "We are honored to serve you and the young heiress."
I looked at Julian, still overwhelmed by the sudden revelation of his true identity. "I still can't believe you kept this a secret for four years..."
Julian wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me close to his side. "I hid it because I wanted to be sure that the woman I married loved me—not the money, not the status. And you loved me when we had nothing but a cramped apartment and cheap noodles. You proved your heart. Now, it is my duty to give you the world."
That evening, Julian held a press conference right in the grand ballroom of the mansion.
Hundreds of reporters and camera crews packed into the hall, flashing lights illuminating the opulent decor. Julian stood at the podium, dressed in a sharp black bespoke suit, looking every bit the powerful mogul he was born to be. But this time, he wasn't standing alone.
He reached back, taking my hand, and brought me to stand right by his side in front of the world.

"For years, Blackwood International was run by a woman who valued profit over human life," Julian announced, his voice echoing through the microphones across global broadcasts. "That era is officially over. Today, I assume full control as CEO of Blackwood International. And my first decree as majority shareholder is to pledge 500 million dollars to the construction of maternal health clinics across the nation—named in honor of my wife, who survived the unthinkable."
The room erupted into applause and flashing cameras. I looked up at Julian, seeing the fiercely protective, loving man who had fought through hell to shield me and our child.
