No one spoke.
The entire ballroom stood frozen as the elegant woman stepped through the shattered wedding entrance.
She wore a perfectly tailored white suit, diamond earrings that caught every flash of the cameras, and an expression so calm it was terrifying.
Four bodyguards followed behind her.
Every guest instinctively stepped aside.
She ignored the reporters.

The ballroom gasped.
Clara stared at the photograph, her hands trembling uncontrollably.

"That's impossible."
The woman took another step closer.
"I'm Victoria Ashford."
"...your older sister."
The name sent a wave of shock through the room.
Everyone knew the Ashford family.
One of the richest dynasties in America.
A family worth tens of billions of dollars.
Amelia's father slowly lowered his head.
"I should have recognized her eyes..."
Victoria looked at Clara with heartbreaking regret.
"Mom searched until the day she died."
"Dad blamed himself every single day."
"We never stopped looking."
Tears streamed down Clara's face.

Victoria nodded sadly.
"The doctors warned us that severe childhood trauma could erase your memories."
Then she looked toward Ethan.
Her gentle expression disappeared instantly.

"You're the man who abandoned my sister and my nephew."
Even the police officers became silent.
Victoria walked toward Ethan until they stood face to face.
"You stole seven years of her life."
"You let my nephew grow up without a father."
"You made my sister believe she was worthless."
Ethan swallowed hard.
"I'm sorry."
Victoria laughed coldly.
"No."
"You're afraid."
She turned toward her legal team.
"Begin the acquisition."
One attorney immediately answered,
"Already completed, ma'am."
Everyone looked confused.
"What acquisition?"
The attorney smiled.
"This morning, Ashford Capital quietly purchased seventy-eight percent of Ethan Brooks' company."
Ethan's face drained of color.
"What?"
Victoria folded her arms.
"You spent years trying to steal someone else's fortune."
"I bought yours before breakfast."
The ballroom exploded with applause.
But Victoria wasn't finished.
She looked at Clara again.
"I came to bring you home."
"Our family's estate..."
"Our businesses..."
"Our inheritance..."
"They're all yours too."
Clara stepped backward.
"I don't want billions."
"I only wanted my son to have a normal life."
Victoria's eyes softened.
"And that's exactly why you're the only person worthy of inheriting everything."

One of Victoria's security guards rushed into the ballroom.
"Ma'am!"
"We have a problem!"

"What happened?"
The guard's face had turned pale.

Clara's heart stopped.
"What do you mean gone?"
The guard looked toward the open ballroom doors.
"The security cameras show someone taking him..."

Clara screamed.
The toy car her son had been holding was now lying alone on the marble floor.
