Chapter 15 - The Dawn of the Rinaldi DynastyOne month later, the front gates of the Rinaldi estate were wide open. Not because of an attack, but because the heavy iron bars had been removed entirely, replaced by sleek, modern security pillars that welcomed the world rather than hiding from it.

In the backyard, Rosie—Claire’s daughter—was running across the manicured lawn, laughing as she chased a soccer ball alongside Leo, Julian, and Matteo.

For the first time in five years, the Rinaldi home echoed with the pure, unadulterated sound of children playing without fear.

On the stone terrace, Claire stood leaning against the balustrade, the warm afternoon sun catching the golden highlights in her hair. She wore a sharp, elegant emerald dress—no Dunkin’ coffee, no cracked phone screen, no eviction notices.

Footsteps echoed behind her.

Dante stepped out onto the terrace, holding two glasses of sparkling cider. He handed one to her, his fingers brushing against hers with a familiar, electrifying warmth.

"The federal indictment against Donato was sealed this morning," Dante said softly, looking out over the lawn at his sons. "He’ll spend the rest of his life behind bars. The Commission has dissolved."

Claire took a sip of her cider, smiling as she watched Rosie score a goal past Matteo. "And the Rinaldi empire?"

"It’s changing," Dante said, turning his dark, intense gaze fully onto her. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, velvet box.

Claire’s breath hitched.

Dante didn't kneel—kings don't kneel, but they offer everything they are. He opened the box to reveal a stunning, custom-designed ring featuring a deep green emerald surrounded by delicate, unbreakable platinum filigree.

"Twenty-two women walked through those doors trying to survive my world, Claire," Dante whispered, his voice trembling with raw emotion. "You didn't just survive it. You saved it. You saved us."

Claire looked from the ring up into Dante’s eyes, seeing a man completely transformed by love and fierce protection.

"I told you on day one, Mr. Rinaldi," Claire smiled, her eyes shining with tears of absolute triumph. "I have eleven dollars in my pocket and a lot of grit."

Dante laughed, taking her hand and sliding the ring onto her finger. "You won't be needing eleven dollars ever again, Ms. Beaumont. Welcome home."
