Chapter 3 - The Blood Pact

Headline: The Mafia Boss Met His Match! They Made A Blood Pact That Will Shock The Entire Underworld!By midnight, the storm had passed, leaving behind an eerie, heavy fog that blanketed the Hargrove estate. The bodies of the hitmen had been quietly removed by Tristan’s cleanup crew, leaving no trace of the violence except for the faint smell of copper and ozone in the air.

In the private wine cellar beneath the mansion, a makeshift interrogation room had been set up. The surviving Russian hitman was tied securely to a heavy steel chair, his face battered and bleeding.

Weston stood in the shadows, his sleeves rolled up, revealing the intricate mafia tattoos that mapped out his own dark history. Beside him stood Holly, now wearing a clean, dark tailored suit provided by Weston’s staff. The cheap sweater was gone; the real Elena Volkov was beginning to emerge, and she looked utterly lethal.

"Who sent you?" Weston asked, his voice low, vibrating with a quiet, terrifying malice. "Nikolai?"

The hitman spat blood onto the concrete floor, laughing weakly. "Nikolai is already in New York, American. He knows the girl is here. He knows about the horse. You think you're a big man in this city, Hargrove? You're nothing compared to the Bratva. You shelter her, and your whole family burns."

Before Weston could step forward, Holly walked past him. She picked up a sharp, silver bone-handled knife from the tool table. Without a word, she drove the blade directly through the hitman’s hand, pinning it securely to the wooden armrest of the chair.

The hitman screamed, a high-pitched sound of pure agony.

Weston didn't even blink, though a dark spark of admiration flared deep within his chest. This girl wasn't a victim; she was a predator wearing a broken mask.

"Nikolai wants the ledger," Holly whispered, leaning in so close her lips almost brushed the hitman’s bleeding ear. "He thinks the encryption key is hidden in Midnight’s microchip. Tell him I’m waiting for him. Tell him if he wants the Volkov inheritance, he has to come take it from me himself."

She yanked the knife out in one swift movement. The hitman slumped forward, completely unconscious from the shock and pain.

Holly turned around, facing Weston. "He won't talk anymore. He’s just a foot soldier."

"You used my horse as a vault?" Weston asked, crossing his arms, his eyes narrowing as he analyzed her every move.

"My father implanted a highly advanced biometric ledger inside Midnight when he was a colt," Holly explained, wiping the blade with a white cloth. "It contains the routing numbers to three billion dollars in offshore accounts, plus the names of every corrupt politician from Moscow to Washington. Nikolai took my family's empire, but he can't access a single cent without that horse. That’s why Midnight is so wild—my father trained him to kill anyone who tries to touch his left shoulder where the chip is buried. Anyone except me."

Weston walked up to her, his massive frame towering over her, but Holly didn't back down. The tension between them was no longer just about danger; it was an electric, combustible pull between two dominant forces who recognized their own darkness in each other.

"You lied to me," Weston whispered, his gaze dropping to her lips before locking back onto her eyes. "You brought a three-billion-dollar target to my daughter's doorstep."

"I needed a place with high security and a boss ruthless enough to protect his own territory," Holly replied defiantly, her breath catching slightly as Weston stepped even closer. "I didn't expect to care about Mary. I didn't expect to care about... this."

"We make a deal," Weston said, his voice dropping to a gravelly register. "I help you eliminate Nikolai. We secure your ledger. In exchange, half of that Volkov capital funds my syndicate's expansion into Europe. And you stay here. As my nanny. As my partner. As whatever I need you to be."

Holly looked at his extended hand. The mafia boss and the billionaire princess. A pact sealed in blood and shadows.

She placed her hand in his. Instead of a handshake, Weston pulled her sharply against his chest, his grip tight and possessive.

"If you betray me, Elena," he murmured against her ear, "I won't just throw you to the wolves. I will become the wolf."

May you like

"Deal," she whispered back.

But their alliance was about to face its most brutal test. From upstairs, a terrifying scream shattered the basement's silence—it was Mary’s voice.
