Chapter 7 - The Final StandChaos erupted in the underground room.

Julian didn't hesitate. Pushing past his physical limits, he lunged forward, tackling Marcus Vance around the waist. The two men crashed hard onto the concrete floor. Even with his paralyzed legs, Julian’s upper body strength was ferocious; he slammed Marcus’s head against the floor twice before Marcus managed to draw a backup knife.
"Die, Moretti!" Marcus screamed, raising the blade.
Claire threw herself over Julian, intercepting the downward arc of the knife. The blade sliced deep into her shoulder, a hot flash of agony tearing through her arm. She screamed, but refused to let go, grabbing a handful of industrial wire and wrapping it around Marcus's throat.
"Get away from my family!" Julian roared. With a superhuman surge of adrenaline, Julian twisted his torso, wrenched the knife from Marcus's hand, and pinned the traitor to the ground with the blade pressed millimeters from his throat.
Sirens wailed in the distance—federal marshals and state police, alerted by Arthur’s silent panic signal, swarmed the estate grounds above.
