Chapter 5 - The Raid from WithinThe heavy glass doors of the boardroom swung open once more, but this time, men in tactical gear bearing federal insignias swarmed the perimeter. Leading them was a senior FBI agent holding a thick stack of blue-jacketed warrants.

"Spencer Vance," the agent announced, his voice echoing off the walls. "You are under arrest for conspiracy, securities fraud, animal cruelty, and attempted assassination of a protected corporate principal."
Chaos erupted. Two of Spencer’s personal bodyguards reached for their holsters, but before their fingers could clear the leather, Gregor—moving with terrifying, calculated betrayal—drew his own weapon and jammed the barrel directly into Spencer’s temple.
"Don't be stupid, boss," Gregor muttered coldly, a wolfish grin spreading across his face. "The old man paid my pension fund off ten minutes before we reached the lobby. Loyalty goes where the real power is."
Spencer froze, his eyes wide with utter disbelief as the plastic zip-ties were violently stripped from Clara’s wrists and immediately slapped around his own expensive Italian cuffs.
"You can't do this!" Spencer screamed, thrashing as federal agents dragged him backward toward the elevators. "I built this empire! I made Vance Global what it is today! You're nothing without me!"

"You didn't build a damn thing, boy," Vance Senior said calmly, watching his false son get hauled away in disgrace. "You just rented the seat while I was resting my eyes."
As the elevator doors closed on Spencer’s screaming face, the boardroom fell into a stunned, breathless silence. Fourteen multi-millionaires sat frozen in their leather chairs, staring at the frail old man and the young waitress standing beside him in a stained apron and sneakers.
