CHAPTER 3: THE LETTER INSIDE THE DEAD WOMAN’S SECRET FILE

The hidden file opened slowly.

Across the screen appeared four words:

“For My Daughter Only.”

The little girl, Lily, stepped closer with trembling hands.

The first thing inside was a video of her mother, sitting in a hospital bed, pale but smiling through tears.

“My sweet Lily
if you are watching this, it means you were brave enough to find the truth.”

Lily covered her mouth.

Her mother continued.

“Ethan Carter is not your real father.”

The entire airport froze.

Even Ethan, still in handcuffs, stopped struggling.

The woman on the screen took a shaky breath.

“Your real father is the man Ethan tried to destroy
his former best friend, Nathan Reed.”

Ethan screamed, “Turn it off!”

But the detective didn’t move.

The video kept playing.

“Ethan knew the truth. He knew Nathan was your father. That’s why he framed him for fraud, stole his company, and made everyone believe Nathan ran away.”

Lily whispered, “My daddy
 is alive?”

The elderly detective’s face changed.

She turned to another officer.

“Find Nathan Reed. Now.”

Two hours later, the airport doors opened.

A thin man with tired eyes walked in, escorted by police.

The moment he saw Lily, he fell to his knees.

“Emily
”

“No,” the detective said softly. “This is your daughter.”

Nathan stared at Lily like the world had stopped.

Lily slowly walked toward him.

“Are you
 my real daddy?”

Nathan broke down crying.

“I looked for you for seven years.”

Ethan shouted from across the room, “She belongs to me!”

Lily turned to him, no longer scared.

“No. I never belonged to you.”

The crowd watched as Nathan wrapped his arms around his daughter for the first time.

But the biggest shock came the next morning.

Ethan’s company collapsed after the truth went viral.

His new fiancée vanished.

His fortune was frozen.

And Lily inherited something no one expected

Her mother had secretly transferred all stolen evidence, company shares, and legal rights into Lily’s name before she died.

At only six years old, the little girl Ethan abandoned became the rightful heir to the empire he had killed for.

And as Ethan was dragged into court, Lily held Nathan’s hand and whispered:

“Mommy was right.”

Nathan looked down.

“About what?”

Lily smiled through her tears.

“The truth always finds its way home.”
