Chapter 8 - The Siege of Vale EstateBy 3 AM, the storm had returned with a vengeance, wrapping the Lake Shore Drive estate in sheets of driving rain and blinding lightning.

Natalie was locked inside Dominic’s private panic room—a high-tech sanctuary lined with monitors, communication arrays, and emergency supplies. Ethan stood by the main console, tapping furiously at the keyboards to trace the origin of the attack.

"Is he alive?" Natalie demanded, her voice cracking as she stared at the security camera feeds showing the darkened corridors of the ground floor.

"Boss knows how to handle a war," Ethan muttered grimly, though sweat beaded on his forehead. "Vance made a fatal mistake tonight. He thinks he can dismantle Vale Holdings in one night."

On screen four, movement flashed in the main gallery. Dominic appeared out of the shadows, moving with deadly, silent efficiency. Armed with only a sidearm, he systematically neutralized the intrusion team one by one, reclaiming his home turf with chilling precision.

Suddenly, the monitor flickered. A heavily armored figure stepped out from behind a marble pillar, holding a suppressed pistol directly pointed at Dominic’s blind spot.

It was Shelby.

Her face was twisted in a manic, desperate grin. "End of the line, Dominic," her voice hissed through the internal audio feed. "If I can't have your empire, nobody will."

Natalie gasped, pressing her hands against the glass monitor. "She’s going to shoot him!"
