The woman in black was named Victoria AshfordâRichardâs younger wife.
For twelve years, she had played the perfect widow-in-waiting. Sweet smile. Gentle voice. Hands always folded like a saint.
But behind closed doors, she controlled everything.
She was the one who made Emily disappear.
She was the one who hid the child.
And tonight, she planned to erase the last two witnesses forever.
The little girl, Lily, suddenly felt a sharp pain in her stomach.
Someone had poisoned the juice handed to her at the entrance.
Richard saw her collapse and screamed,
"Call an ambulance!"

That was when Lily reached into her pocket and pressed a small red button.
Every screen in the ballroom turned on.
A video began playing.
Emily Carter appeared on camera, holding her newborn baby.
"If you're watching this... Victoria killed me."
The ballroom exploded in shock.

Emily looked straight into the camera and said,
"Richard is not the villain. He is the target. And my daughter... is the true heir to Ashford Global."
