**🔥 CHAPTER 5: "The Entire Town Turned Against Him… Then the Biggest Secret of All Finally Came Out." 😱

For two days, I disappeared.

No phone calls.

No social media.

No angry messages.

Everyone expected the betrayed husband to lose control.

Instead...

I was building a case.

Michael arranged a meeting with the county prosecutor, while the private investigator organized every piece of evidence in chronological order.

Every bank transfer.

Every hotel reservation.

Every message.

Every video.

Nothing had been altered.

Nothing had been exaggerated.

Only the truth.

"You still have time to bury all of this," Michael said quietly.

I looked at the mountain of evidence.

"No."

"They made their choices."

"Now they can live with them."

Three days later...

Nathan arrived at the headquarters of the security company where he had recently been promoted to operations manager.

He walked through the lobby smiling confidently.

Employees greeted him like always.

Until...

His supervisor stepped out of the elevator.

"We need to talk."

Nathan chuckled.

"Sure."

The smile disappeared from his face the moment he entered the conference room.

Human resources.

The company attorney.

Two executives.

And a printed folder sitting in the middle of the table.

"What is this?"

One executive slowly pushed the folder toward him.

"We've received multiple complaints."

Nathan frowned.

"Complaints?"

"About inappropriate relationships..."

"...dishonesty..."

"...and conduct that violates our code of ethics."

His hands began shaking.

"Who sent this?"

The executive answered calmly.

"The evidence speaks for itself."

Nathan flipped through the pages.

Screenshots.

Photos.

Voice transcripts.

Financial records.

Even the video of him laughing about "stealing a soldier's wife."

His face turned white.

"You don't understand—"

"We understand perfectly."

The supervisor who had trusted him for years looked deeply disappointed.

"You represented this company."

"You represented integrity."

"You mocked a deployed serviceman while claiming to honor veterans at public events."

The room fell silent.

Finally, the HR director spoke.

"Effective immediately..."

"...your employment is terminated."

Nathan stared at everyone.

"This will ruin my life."

The executive replied without emotion.

"No."

"You ruined your own life."

News spread faster than anyone expected.

Not because I posted anything.

Because people talked.

Neighbors.

Coworkers.

Friends.

Within days, nearly everyone knew what had happened.

The same people who once admired Nathan now crossed the street to avoid him.

Emily wasn't spared either.

The boutique where she had worked asked her to resign after customers began recognizing her.

Friends stopped answering her calls.

Even relatives who had defended her quietly disappeared.

One betrayal had destroyed two lives.

But fate wasn't finished yet.

That Friday evening...

Michael called again.

His voice sounded unusually tense.

"Daniel..."

"I think you should come over."

"What happened?"

"We found something inside the financial records."

When I arrived, several documents were spread across his desk.

Michael pointed to one transfer after another.

Small amounts.

Five hundred dollars.

Eight hundred.

Twelve hundred.

Always sent to the same bank account.

Every month.

For nearly a year.

I frowned.

"Who owns this account?"

Michael slowly looked up.

"We finally identified the owner."

He handed me a printed name.

I stared at it.

Then felt the blood drain from my face.

"No..."

It couldn't be.

Because the money hadn't gone to Nathan.

It hadn't gone to Emily.

It had been sent...

To someone in my own family.

May you like

Someone I trusted almost as much as my wife.

Someone who had known our marriage from the very beginning.
