Chapter 6 - THE FINAL JUDGMENTPanic erupted around the mahogany table like a bomb going off.

Several board members who had blindly supported Victor’s corrupt schemes over the past decade instantly stood up, frantically trying to distance themselves from his downfall.

“Miss Sterling! Welcome back! We always knew you were out there!” one executive babbled nervously, offering a shaky handshake that Maya ignored entirely.

“Sit down, Mr. Henderson,” Maya said coldly, not even glancing his way. “Your financial audit begins in ten minutes. If you’ve stolen so much as a paperclip from this company, you’ll be spending the next twenty years sharing a cell with common felons.”

Henderson collapsed back into his leather chair, trembling like a leaf.

Victor Sterling stared at the document in front of him, his chest heaving as reality finally crushed his illusions of absolute power. He had spent decades looting the company, alienating true allies, and treating his niece like a phantom buried in a shallow grave. Now, the phantom had returned with an army of lawyers and a multi-billion-dollar bank account.

“You... you can’t do this,” Victor whispered, his voice cracking with pathetic desperation. “I built this company into what it is today! I made Sterling Global a titan!”

“You rode on the coattails of my grandfather’s genius and bled our assets dry to fund your offshore accounts in the Bahamas,” Maya replied, straightening up and adjusting her cuffs. She looked over at Julian. “Have security escort Mr. Sterling out of my building. Make sure his personal belongings fit into a standard cardboard box—he doesn't deserve anything more.”

“Right away, Miss Sterling,” Julian said, nodding to the guards.

Two massive security guards stepped forward, grabbing Victor by his expensive suit jacket.

“Get your hands off me! Do you know who I am?! I am a Sterling!” Victor roared, thrashing wildly as they dragged him backward toward the double doors, his dignity evaporating into thin air.

“That’s precisely why you’re leaving through the loading dock,” Maya called out calmly as the heavy doors slammed shut behind him, cutting off his muffled screams.

The boardroom fell into a deep, reverent hush. Every eye in the room was fixed on Maya with a mixture of awe, terror, and absolute submission.

She walked slowly to the head of the table, pulled out the high-backed leather executive chair, and sat down. She rested her hand on the armrest, the silver orchid ring catching the bright midday sun streaming through the glass windows.

“Meeting adjourned,” Maya announced softly. “Resume your stations. Our work begins now.”
