CHAPTER 6 "The Horse Saved Her One Last Time⦠But Its Final Secret Changed the Kingdom Forever."

Leila raced through the smoke.
Soldiers and servants formed desperate lines, passing buckets of water as flames devoured the wooden stable.
"The horse!" she cried.
"No!"
The captain grabbed her arm.
"The roof is collapsing!"
Leila tore herself free.
Without thinking, she ran into the burning stable.
Heat scorched her face.
Smoke filled her lungs.
Pieces of burning wood crashed around her.
Then she heard it.
A familiar neigh.
Weak.
But alive.
The stallion was trapped beneath a fallen beam.
Leila knelt beside it, tears streaming down her face.
"I'm here."
The horse looked into her eyes with the same calm trust it had shown on the day they first met.
Together with two brave stable workers, she pushed against the burning beam.
It barely moved.
Another section of the roof collapsed.
The workers shouted.
"We have to leave!"
Leila refused.
She pushed again.
Again.
Again.
Finally...
The beam rolled aside.
The stallion struggled to its feet.
But instead of running toward the exit...
It turned around.
Leila stared in confusion.
The horse walked to the back wall of the stable and struck it with both front hooves.
Once.
Twice.
Three times.
The stone cracked.
Hidden behind it was a narrow chamber no one had known existed.
Inside rested a single iron chest wrapped in royal silk.
The stallion looked at Leila...
Then gently lowered its head.
As if saying...
"This is why I stayed alive."
Together, they dragged the chest outside just seconds before the stable roof collapsed into flames.
Inside the chest were the missing royal crown, the original royal seal, and dozens of documents proving the true history of the kingdom.
Beneath them lay one final letter.
It was written by Leila's father on the night he died.
"If my daughter ever finds this, know that the throne is only a chair. Justice is the true crown. Rule with mercy, not revenge."
Leila could no longer hold back her tears.
She embraced the stallion tightly.
"You protected everything..."
"...even after everyone abandoned you."
The horse gently rested its head on her shoulder.
Then, for the first time in many years...
It closed its eyes peacefully.
When the royal physicians arrived, they smiled.
"It will recover."
Weeks later, the kingdom gathered once more.
Not for a coronation.
But for something far more meaningful.
Standing before thousands of people, Leila placed the royal crown on a velvet cushion instead of her own head.
"I do not want a kingdom built on fear," she declared.
"I want one built on truth."
Thunderous applause echoed across the city.
Children released white doves into the sky.
The black stallion stood proudly beside her, no longer a symbol of terror...
But of loyalty.
As the celebration continued, a royal messenger quietly approached Leila and handed her a sealed black envelope.
There was no sender.
Only one symbol.
A silver falcon.
Inside was a single sentence.
"You defeated one king... but you've just declared war on the empire behind him."
Leila slowly looked toward the distant desert.
Far beyond the horizon...
Someone was already watching.
May you like
And the greatest battle of her life...
Had only just begun.
