Chapter 6 - THE CONFESSIONThe boardroom doors opened again, and two men in dark gray suits walked in. They weren't corporate attorneys. They were former federal prosecutors turned private investigators retained by Park Holdings' internal security division.

One of them, a broad-shouldered man named Miller, tossed a heavy manila folder directly onto the table in front of Caleb Dunn.
"Inside that envelope," Miller said evenly, "is the complete wire-transfer record, the IP logs matching your home computers, and signed affidavits from your offshore banking agents in the Caymans who rolled over the moment our investigators showed up with freezing injunctions."
Caleb looked at the folder, then at Monica, his voice cracking with panic. "Monica, they have everything. They have the routing numbers! We’re finished—tell them the truth, just tell them!"
"Shut up, you idiot!" Monica shrieked, spinning on him. "Don't say a damn word!"
"Too late, Ms. Shaw," Miller replied calmly. "Federal indictment packages have already been dispatched to the U.S. Attorney's office for the Northern District of Illinois. But Mr. Park was generous enough to offer you a preliminary hearing right here."
Ryan Kessler dropped to his knees beside his chair, his corporate arrogance completely evaporated, leaving behind a pathetic, sweating wreck of a man.
"Mr. Park," Ryan choked out, reaching desperately toward Jae’s polished leather shoes. "Please—please, we have families, we have careers—we'll sign anything, we'll resign quietly, just don't ruin us—"
Jae slowly drew his feet back, avoiding Ryan’s touch as if stepping away from garbage.
He didn't look down. He looked at Thomas Vance.
"Notify the press," Jae said. "I want a press release issued by noon. Blackridge Capital’s executive board has been dismissed for systemic embezzlement and fraud. Announce that Park Holdings has assumed total administrative control, and the new CEO will be stepping in immediately."
"Who... who is the new CEO?" Caleb whimpered from his chair.
Jae stood up slowly, adjusting his suit jacket.
"My wife," Jae said.
Monica’s jaw dropped. A bitter, hysterical laugh escaped her throat. "You're... you're putting Evelyn back in charge? After everything? She won't have a company left—we've gutted the assets!"
"You gutted nothing," Jae replied, his voice chillingly calm. "Because as of five minutes ago, every single dollar you stole has been seized from your personal bank accounts, your homes, and your offshore trusts to recapitalize Blackridge. You are legally bankrupt, professionally ruined, and criminally indicted."

He turned and walked toward the door, pausing with his hand on the brass handle.
"Have them removed," Jae told the security guards waiting outside. "And make sure they leave with cardboard boxes. Just like my wife did."
