CHAPTER 1 – The Wedding That Stopped the World

The ballroom glittered beneath crystal chandeliers as hundreds of wealthy guests raised their glasses to celebrate the wedding of Ethan Carter, the youngest billionaire CEO in New York.

Luxury filled every corner.

Designer gowns.

Diamond jewelry.

Champagne worth thousands of dollars.

Everything was perfect…

Until the doors slowly creaked open.

An old man wearing worn-out clothes stepped inside, carrying nothing but a faded paper bag.

His gray hair was messy.

His shoes were falling apart.

The entire ballroom fell silent.

Then came the whispers.

"Who invited that homeless man?"

"He doesn't belong here."

"Security!"

The bride, Victoria Sinclair, stared in disgust.

"You have exactly ten seconds to leave before you're dragged out."

The guests laughed.

Several waiters moved toward the old man, ready to escort him outside.

But strangely...

The old man never looked frightened.

Instead, his eyes searched the room...

Looking only at Ethan.

When Ethan finally saw him, the color drained from his face.

Everyone expected the groom to order security to throw the stranger out.

Instead...

He suddenly dropped to both knees.

"Forgive me..."

The ballroom exploded with gasps.

Victoria screamed.

"What are you doing? Get up!"

Ethan ignored her.

His hands were shaking.

His eyes filled with tears.

"I've been searching for you for twenty-five years..."

The guests stared in complete disbelief.

The homeless man slowly reached into his paper bag.

Inside was an old photograph.

One side showed a little boy smiling beside an older man.

The other side contained just four handwritten words.

"Never forget who saved you."

No one understood what they meant.

But Ethan did.

Because that old man wasn't a beggar.

He was the man everyone believed had died decades ago...

The only person who knew the truth about the Carter family's fortune.

And he had returned...

May you like

On Ethan's wedding day.

To destroy everything.
